Raised on Bainbridge Island, William M. Yund is a Stanford University-trained historian and retired Army officer. 

William taught at the U.S. Military Academy (West Point), advised foreign military leaders, and served as a Colonel of the Air Defense Artillery.

When the time came to take off the uniform, William sought to leverage his hard-earned skills and contribute closer to home. 

Over a 27-year career, William honed a highly sought-after skillset related to the fields of security, intelligence and private investigation. 

He is a combat-tested leader, skilled in intelligence gathering, predictive analysis, and the critical interplay between intelligence and operations.  

William is accomplished in assessing risk, mitigating vulnerabilities, and defense against air and ground threats. 

 

As a senior officer, William’s responsibilities included strategy development, capability gap analysis, and solving multifaceted problems that affected stakeholders with a wide range of equities….

….inevitably in resource-constrained environments. 

Defense against drones and other emerging air threats was one such complicated challenge.

William has participated in U.S. diplomatic efforts and national defense policymaking. He is well-versed in human dynamics and is comfortable in any environment.

While in uniform, William acted as an investigating officer for incidents including property loss, accidents, sexual harassment and service member deaths.

The attributes vital to William’s success as a military officer – organization, timeliness, discretion, precision, audacity – are well suited private investigation and civilian security operations.

Working as an independent investigator and security consultant, William now enjoys assisting individuals, families and companies in the Northwest to achieve the safety and certainty they deserve.
